A French woman left her millionaire husband for an affair with an online fraudster who claimed to be Brad Pitt and transferred him 830,000 euros for surgeries.

The "Hollywood actor" turned out to be a fraudster who used photos of Brad Pitt from the hospital generated through artificial intelligence.

The 53-year-old lingerie designer was married to a wealthy man. In 2023, she was vacationing with her family at a ski resort where she took many photos and decided to share them on social media.

For the first time in her life, she created an account and posted photos. Shortly after, she received a friend request from an unusual contact. First, “Brad Pitt’s mother” approached her, and then the impostor himself, claiming to be the actor.

At first, "Brad Pitt" showered Anna with compliments, poetry and gifts, including expensive handbags and jewelry.

However, Anna had to pay 5,000 euros to cover customs fees for his shipments. She made the transfer without hesitation.

Then the unexpected happened, Anna's "boyfriend" became seriously ill.

"Brad Pitt" claimed to have been diagnosed with kidney cancer. The money, the fraudster said, had been frozen due to his divorce from Angelina Jolie, so he asked Ana for help. She divorced her husband and paid hundreds of thousands of euros "for surgeries", while "Brad Pitt" expressed his heartfelt gratitude and sent her photos from his hospital bed.

The fantasy ended when foreign tabloids published the story revealing that the real Brad Pitt was dating a girl named Ines de Ramon.

Anna found out that she had been scammed and that all the photos the "actor" was sending her were created by artificial intelligence. By that point, she had transferred a full 830,000 euros to the scammer, all the money she had left after divorcing her millionaire husband.
