Gjesti has stirred up the internet, saying he is facing injustice from his previous distributor, which is preventing him from releasing new music projects. He said he "will never give up and until he resolves this issue, he cannot release anything."
Erkand Shabani, head of the “Onima” platform, has made an official reaction on social networks, where according to him “fake news about Onima is being spread by Gjesti and the new management”. He expressed deep regret and explained that the source of the platform and Gjesti’s dispute is related to the monetization of artistic content.
"Onima expresses deep regret regarding the campaign of spreading fake news in our address by Gjesti and his management (team)," the Onima director initially stated. In this circumstance, we are forced to clarify that the source of the dispute between Onima and Gjesti is the latter's intention to release them from the contract for the distribution and monetization of his artistic content ," he stated.
Erkandi emphasized that Gjesti and the new platform it manages have requested a termination of the contract, which, according to their interpretation and according to Onima, is contrary to the legal agreement.
"This is an issue, the subject of which is regulated in detail in the contract signed by Gjesti himself, of his own free will. Instead of addressing his concern through legal instruments, Gjesti and his management team have requested termination of the contract, according to his unilateral interpretation, which is not in accordance with the legally valid agreement with Onima."
Erkandi's reaction comes after Gjesti publicly addressed the problems he is recently encountering in his career.
"This season I have been forced to stop all projects due to conflicts and injustices that have been done to me by the previous distributor. Unfortunately, until these conflicts are resolved, I am forced to keep all these projects to myself as I categorically refuse to release any project with this distributor ," Gjesti said in an Instagram post.
He further added: " I hope and strongly believe that these conflicts will be resolved very soon, so that I can start publishing the projects directly. Believe me, I can't wait to share these projects with you, and believe me, I will never give up until justice is served."
