Kosovo Customs has announced that during the inspection at the "Adem Jashari" International Airport of singer Gramoz Ali, known as "Mozzik", customs units discovered and temporarily detained two luxury watches worth a total of 1 million 340 thousand 27 euros.
According to the Customs announcement, the luxury watches, one "Richard Mille" and the other "Rolex", were not declared by Aliu during the passage through the Green Channel.
"Since the evasion of customs obligations amounted to over 5,000 euros, in accordance with the legislation in force, the Custodian Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina was notified."
"In this case, in accordance with the powers arising from the Customs and Excise Code, the temporary detention of the goods and the interview of the suspect have been ordered," the announcement states.
Further, Customs said that Aliu was interviewed today and then released in a regular procedure, while the two hours remain detained pending a decision by the Prosecutor's Office.
We recall that Mozzik reacted today by claiming that he has not been detained and that he has no problems accusing the media of defamation. According to the media, he also owes 500 thousand euros to the Kosovo tax authorities.
Expensive luxury items worth hundreds of thousands of euros must be accompanied by the relevant documents of their origin.
