Genar Topalli, the son of politician Jozefina Topalli, has recently reacted on social media regarding the numerous allusions in the media about the value that the organization of his wedding with sports moderator Cindy Marina, organized in Rome, Italy, has captured.

Genar Topalli wrote that the entire ceremony was financed by him, Cindy and the latter's parents, who all work and live in the United States of America, where they run businesses in the transportation field. Among other things, Genar emphasizes that the wedding ceremony did not reach any figures outside the normal range of Albanian weddings.

More than a clarification to the public, this reaction seems to be a 'response' to his ex-partner, Eva Murati, who in a comment on social media claimed that the wedding was totally financed by stolen public money.

"Dear friends, family and acquaintances,

On September 13, 2025, I experienced the most beautiful day of my life: I was married to Cindy Marina.

Although we are under no obligation to provide explanations about private life, I want to make this response for the sake of transparency. The ceremony took place in the Basilica of St. Mary, at the Altar of Heaven – a great spiritual blessing, for which, as is known, there is no payment, but only a symbolic donation.

Afterwards, the dinner was held in a venue in Rome, at a cost that does not exceed the usual costs of a wedding in Albania (anyone can easily verify this with a simple Google search). Everything was thought out, organized and financed by Cindy and me, with the support of her parents.

We live and work in the US, where we run our business in the transportation field together, while Cindy, in addition to other commitments, manages one of the largest volleyball clubs in Southern California, owned by her family.

Cindy's parents have lived in the US for nearly 30 years and today have built successful businesses in the fields of transportation and sports, with over 150 employees.

This clarification is made solely to avoid any misunderstanding and to refute comments with completely false and speculative figures.
