The murder of Liridona Ademaj, a 30-year-old from Kosovo, has shocked public opinion, bringing many reactions from citizens and officials.
Among many others, the Swedish Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonas Westerlund, also reacted to the event, who stated that the Swedish state is working closely with the Kosovo authorities to clarify this case.
"We are working continuously on this case together with the local authorities of Kosovo. This is a very sensitive case and there is a lot of mystery surrounding this case, I can't say more, we are working on this case together with the authorities. But I also want to emphasize that we have debated a lot in recent days about violence against women and in the "16 days of activism against violence against women" campaign, he said.
We remember that Liridona Ademaj was a Swedish citizen and had lived and worked there for several years. One of the initially suspected leads to the murder is suspected to be precisely the benefit through life insurance that she had in Sweden.
