"A lot of trouble awaits us as far as Kosovo is concerned", this is how the Serbian president declared at a pre-election rally of his PPS party, who once again warned of an "even more difficult situation".

"I don't want to tell you at all that everything will be sweet and that honey and milk will flow and flowers will bloom. You know this and I will not lie to you", said Vucic at a rally in Krusevac.

Vučić has warned that he will "protect" the vital, national and state interests of Serbia and Kosovo Serbs "until his last breath".

"Whatever happens, we will always be with our people, before and after Banjska, and we will always be with the Serbs living in Kosovo and we will never leave them in the mud," claimed Vucic.

In the previous pre-election meeting at the Belgrade Arena at the end of last week, Vucic warned of the "serious situation in Kosovo".

"Difficult times in Kosovo, and there will be more, I'm sure, maybe even more difficult. But we will never give up on "our people" and we will never turn our backs on them", Vucic claimed at that time.
