After several hours of being arrested for his involvement in the Epstein case, Andrew's former parent has been released.
Police have given an update on the investigation into the criminal offence of "misconduct in public office", while Andrew was photographed leaving a police station after his arrest.
"The detainee has now been released," the announcement says.
Authorities also confirmed that searches carried out in Norfolk have been completed, while searches in Berkshire continue.
Former British prince Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was arrested today on suspicion of abuse of office, on his birthday, as he would have turned 66 today.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is the first senior member of the royal family in modern history to be arrested.
The police raid comes after the release of emails by the US Department of Justice, which appear to show the former duke shared reports from official visits to Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore.
An email, dated November 2010, appears to have been forwarded by Mountbatten-Windsor just five minutes after it was sent by his then-special adviser, Amir Patel.
Another, on Christmas Eve 2010, appears to send Jeffrey Epstein a confidential document on investment opportunities in the reconstruction of Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
