North Korean soldiers deployed to Russia to fight Ukrainian troops are obsessed with pornography, according to a prominent foreign affairs journalist.
Kim Jong-un's troops in Russia have far greater access to the Internet than in their native country. As a result, it is alleged that many of the soldiers had access to copious amounts of adulterants.
Journalist Gideon Rachman of the Financial Times shared the news with his followers on social media.
“A usually reliable source tells me that the North Korean soldiers stationed in Russia have never before had free access to the Internet. As a result, they delight in pornography," he wrote.
Pyongyang is believed to have sent around 12,000 soldiers to ally Russia and a large contingent of them are already thought to be fighting on the front lines.
3,000 North Korean troops are reported to be deployed in Kursk, the Ukrainian-controlled region of western Russia that President Volodymyr Zelensky's forces took earlier this year.
