President Donald Trump met with several Arab and Muslim leaders on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly last night.
This was one of more than 30 meetings the American president held yesterday.
It is learned that Trump promised Arab leaders that he would not allow Israel to annex the West Bank, Politico reports.
Two people familiar with the discussion also said that Trump and his team presented a white paper outlining the administration's plan to end the war in Gaza, which included extensive details.
This comes amid growing fears about Israel's intentions, after the controversial E1 settlement project in the West Bank was recently approved.
Ahead of the talks, Trump told reporters that the meeting with Arab leaders was the "most important" of the day.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the meeting was "fruitful" but did not provide further details.
