An action by US President Donald Trump during the funeral of the late Senator Lindsey Graham has gone viral on the internet.
About two hours after the funeral began, as those present stood in silence and remembered the deceased, Trump was seen reaching into his pocket and pulling out a box of Tic-Tac candies.
He approaches JD Vance to offer him some of the peppermints, but the vice president declines. After taking one for himself, Trump tries to give some to Treasury Secretary nominee Scott Bessent.
The latter received the president's gesture with a smile and accepted some candy.
According to Nicola Hickling, who is a lip-reading expert, Trump told Vanessa: "I found these in my pocket. Do you want one?"
While Vance responded by saying, "No, I'm fine." (meaning he didn't want a candy bar) Trump is further thought to have given the candy bars to US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, saying, "You'll feel fresher."
While Vance reportedly smiled and jokingly added: "They're Tic Tacs. They come in a little box."
However, this version of the conversation has not been officially confirmed by the White House.
