A 36-year-old woman was found in a pool of blood inside her apartment in Belgium , after being stabbed to death by her ex-partner.

Nurse Veronique Nobus was reportedly stabbed over 200 times by 41-year-old Jurgen M.

She had ended the relationship with her former partner more than a year ago, but it seems that Jurgen did not accept the separation.

On Sunday evening, it is reported that he met her at the Club Brugge stadium, where the 36-year-old was watching the match against Standard.

Later that evening he showed up again at her Heist apartment at midnight.

Neighbors saw the two arguing in the street and heard a loud noise around 2am.

After the murder, Jürgen M. is reported to have called his brother, who called the emergency services.

The 41-year-old was arrested by the police after the gruesome crime. Jürgen M., it is learned that a few weeks before Veronique's murder, he had asked to buy a firearm.

"He had 3,000 euros in his pocket to buy it," said a witness.

The reasons that led the 41-year-old to commit this serious act and what happened in the apartment on the night of the crime are not yet known.
