"They are hiding like rats" - Head of Iran's Supreme Council responds to Americans: You have entered Epstein's island

The head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, has responded harshly to US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, following the latter's statements about the Iranian leadership.

"Mr. Hegseth! Our leaders have been and still are among the people. What about yours? On Epstein's Island!" he said in X.

His reaction came after Hegseth stated during a press conference that the Iranian leadership "is desperate and in hiding."

"They have gone into hiding, hiding like rats," the Pentagon chief said.

In his post, Larijani also published two videos showing Iran's president, Masoud Pezeshkian, and the head of the judiciary, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Eje'i, participating in the activities.
