The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has reacted to claims that Serbia is trying to physically eliminate him.

Kurti said that he saw many police forces in Skopje during the meeting he had with the sister parties of the socialists, after reports that there was an assassination attempt on him.

On Saturday, after the tributes to the former activists of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Mon Balaj and Arben Xheladini, who died during the 2007 protest, Kurti said that he learned that there are many threats from individuals and structures related to Belgrade.

"I have learned that there are many threats from individuals and structures that have their roots in official Belgrade. When I came from Skopje, I didn't feel threatened, but I saw that there were many police forces who were taking care of this meeting that we held, where the special guest was the representative of the German SPD, Lars Klingbeil", Kurti said.
