A planned assassination attempt against the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has brought the Kosovo and Macedonian intelligence authorities to their feet. This is because during Kurti's visit to Skopje last night, operative information was received about the assassination by the Serbian structure.
Reliable sources from security institutions in Kosovo have told Radio Television of Kosovo that, immediately after the meeting of the UN Security Council, they have provided information that there is an attempt from Serbia to assassinate the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti in Skopje, where he stayed last night.
The Prime Minister of Kosovo arrived in Skopje last night, and all security measures were taken in advance, in coordination with the security institutions of North Macedonia.
Radio Television of Kosovo has been told that the assessments of the threat to Kurti's life have been serious, especially considering that they have come from several sources of information.
"It was a Serbian operative combination, where media deceptions were interwoven with actions on the ground by possible assassins of the Serbian-Macedonian extreme, close to the Russian Federation, but under the control of Serbian institutions," said the source.
The cooperation of the security institutions between Kosovo and North Macedonia has professionally ensured the safety of Altin Kurti and the delegation, who are already known to have entered the territory of Kosovo.
Commenting on the assassination plan against him, Albin Kurti said that he saw numerous police forces in Skopje during the meeting he had with the sister parties of the socialists. The Prime Minister has emphasized that he has learned that there are many threats from individuals and structures that have their roots in official Belgrade.
"When I came from Skopje, I didn't feel threatened, but I saw that there were many police forces who took care of this meeting that we held, where the special guest was the representative of the German SPD, Lars Klingbeil", said Albin Kurti , prime minister of Kosovo.
