Charles McGonigal's ex-partner, Allison Guerriero , has been found dead in her South Florida apartment, with the circumstances of her death still unclear.

Her death has attracted particular attention because just a few hours earlier she had been active on social media, where she had published dozens of posts regarding the FBI and the case of the former American official.

According to US media, Guerriero had made about 75 posts, some of which made allegations about federal officials. In one of them she wrote: "The FBI is evil."

She had previously spoken about Charles McGonigal, the former director of counterintelligence at the FBI's New York office, who was convicted in the US of criminal offenses related to his financial dealings with Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, as well as for concealing payments received from a former Albanian intelligence official.

Guerriero was questioned by the FBI in 2019 about McGonigal and provided information about his activities. She also spoke publicly about her former partner's contacts with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.

According to her previous statements, McGonigal had told her that she would travel to Albania to meet with Rama.

The Albanian Prime Minister has denied any wrongdoing or involvement in illegal activities related to his relationship with the former FBI official.

In recent posts, Guerriero had continued to make accusations and demand investigations against other people who, according to her, had connections to US federal authorities.

However, so far there is no public data linking her death to the McGonigal case or to Albania.

US authorities are continuing their investigations to determine the official cause of death and the circumstances in which she lost her life.
