Activists of the Social Democratic Party have thrown flour at the Minister of Finance of Kosovo, Hekuran Murati. The incident happened on Saturday afternoon, while the video was made public by the head of this political force, Dardan Molliqaj.
"Symbolic action for workers. The unprecedented war that Hekuran Murati has declared to the workers cannot be normalized. Therefore, action, intervention, resistance", says the description of Molliqaj's video.
The PSD accuses Murat of his recent stances regarding strikes. The Ministry of Finance has withheld public sector salaries after the unions went on strike from August 25.
This ministry has asked the municipalities to submit lists with the names of the workers who went on strike to stop them from working days.
Murati said on Saturday that "due to the difficult economic situation" payments will be processed, but warned of measures against the officials who blocked the lists.
The public sector unions are asking for an additional 100 euros every month until the approval and entry into force of the Law on Wages. On Saturday, the government decided to give them 50 euros per month, starting from September, as part of the "package to deal with inflation".
