A 21-year-old of Albanian origin, Erik Fetahu, died at the Niguarda hospital in Milan, after being seriously injured in a motorcycle accident last Friday.

According to Italian media, the young man ran in the last administration in support of the current mayor of Lodi, Andrea Furegato, however he was not elected to the city council.

The 21-year-old, a metal worker of a company in Lodi, was traveling on a motorcycle when he collided head-on with a Mercedes van, in San Rocco al Porto in the Lodi area.
Fetahu received serious injuries and underwent surgery, but unfortunately he died a week later.
