The Nuclear Agency of Russia announced that there are 5 inspectors from the World Nuclear Agency, including an Albanian, at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine.

The group sent by the UN is composed of an Albanian inspector, a Spaniard, a Lithuanian, a Jordanian and a Romanian.

The inspectors, who will stay until September 4-5, were part of a larger group who were escorted to the facility by Russian soldiers after a perilous journey delayed by bombing.

After inspection, they said that the physical integrity of the plant has been violated several times.

"We are not going anywhere. The International Atomic Energy Agency is here now and here to stay. It is clear that the plant and its physical integrity has been breached several times; unintentionally or intentionally, we can't determine it yet", said the head of the IAEA, Rafaele Grossi.

During his evening speech, President Zelensky said he hoped the inspectors would draw objective conclusions, but complained about the lack of international journalists among the mission.

"We have clear evidence that Moscow has undertaken a series of cynical actions to manipulate the mission. The occupying forces forced the citizens to lie to the representatives of the international nuclear energy agency," said the Ukrainian president.

So President Zelensky's chief of staff accused Moscow of trying to undermine the mission by bombing the nearby town of Enerhodar.

But Russia rejected the claims and announced that 60 of what it called Ukrainian saboteurs who had tried to seize control of the plant by crossing the river on Thursday morning had been killed. Russia has requested holding a Security Council meeting on the issue on September 6. The European Union is giving more than 5 million anti-radioactive signs to Ukraine, as concerns about an accident at the plant mount.
