In Italy, signatures have been collected for a popular initiative bill that would increase the price of all tobacco and nicotine products, including electronic cigarettes and heated tobacco, by 5 euros.

To submit the initiative to Parliament, 50,000 signatures are needed, which can be provided online through the Ministry of Justice platform.

The purpose of the bill is to reduce tobacco consumption and support the National Health Service.

The initiative is promoted by AIOM, the AIRC Foundation, the Umberto Veronesi Foundation and the AIOM Foundation, as part of the 5eurocontroilfumo.it campaign./ Tgcom24
