The company Meta has stated that it has decided to restore the accounts of former US President Donald Trump on Facebook and Instagram in the coming weeks. The accounts of the former US president were suspended two years ago, after what is known as the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

"We will be reopening Mr. Trump's Facebook and Instagram accounts in the coming weeks. However, we will put some "moats" so that such violations do not repeat", said the company Meta.

According to CNN, by reactivating his Instagram and Facebook accounts, former President Trump will gain access to major communication and fundraising platforms.

This decision by Meta follows a similar move by Twitter, which has also reactivated Donald Trump's account. However, the former president has so far not posted, choosing to use his social media platform, Truth Social
