The former president of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, left the prison cell in The Hague today and is in Kosovo as of 12:30 p.m.

The Special Court has fulfilled the request of Thaç, who asked to visit his mother, who is in a serious state of health. He has been allowed to go to Burojë, under strict security measures, to visit his mother.

Kosovar media report that Thaçi has been allowed to meet only his parents and none of the other family members.

The mother of former president Thaçi was released days ago from the KKUK, where she was treated for 5 days in a row. It is known that she is now being treated by doctors at home.

Thaçi is now in his family's apartment in Buroje, as the area is surrounded by numerous police forces, as well as by EULEX.
