Constitutional Court of Kosovo: The constitutive session of the Assembly has not

The Constitutional Court has ruled that the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly has not ended without the election of the Serbian deputy speaker.

The Constitutional Court has found that the Constitutive Session of the Assembly, which began on April 15, 2025, has not concluded as a result of the failure to elect the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly from among the deputies of the Serbian community and the Assembly has not been constituted in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 1 of Article 66 [Election and Mandate] and paragraphs 1 and 4 of Article 67 [Election of the President and Deputy Speakers] of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo," the announcement issued this Tuesday states.

He also ordered the deputies of the Assembly of Kosovo to constitute the assembly within the remaining 12 days.

The interim measure will continue until the full publication of the judgment.
