The Gaza Strip is under a complete blockade as senior Israeli officials have decided to cut off the supply of drinking water and electricity to the Palestinian-occupied territory.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced on Monday that he has ordered a "complete encirclement" of the Gaza Strip, preventing food, fuel or electricity from entering the Hamas-controlled territory.

"We are fighting barbaric terrorists and will act accordingly," Gallant said.

More than 123,000 Gazans have been displaced, according to the United Nations, as the Israeli military continues to bomb targets it says are controlled by Hamas.

In addition to a bank, during today's day, the university of Gaza was also targeted by rockets, along with several surrounding buildings.

Unconfirmed reports say that Israel has assembled an army of 300,000 troops, which is preparing to enter Gaza, which if it happens in the next few hours, could cause an escalation of the conflict in the entire region.
