Iran's state TV threatens Trump: This time the bullet will not fail

The United Kingdom has also begun withdrawing its personnel from a United States military base in Qatar, Sky News reports.

The move comes amid rising tensions in the region after US President Donald Trump told protesters in Iran that "help is on the way" and warned of "very strong action" against Iran.

According to Reuters sources citing two European officials, a United States military intervention in Iran appears likely and could occur within the next 24 hours.

On the other hand, Iranian state television has broadcast a direct threatening message to President Donald Trump, declaring: "This time, the bullet will not miss."

This threat comes via a video showing images of Trump surrounded by Secret Service agents, immediately after the assassination attempt he suffered in Butler, Pennsylvania, during 2024.

Iran has repeatedly threatened to retaliate against US military facilities in the Middle East in the event of a US attack.

The United States has also begun withdrawing some of its personnel from Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the largest US military base in the region.

It is not yet clear whether all British personnel are being withdrawn from the base.

According to human rights groups, the situation inside Iran is critical as over 2,400 protesters have been killed during the violent crackdown by the authorities.

Over 18,000 people have been arrested so far, while at least 12 children are confirmed to be among those killed.

The protests began in late December due to the economic crisis and the decline in the value of the local currency, but quickly turned into calls for political change.

This is not the first time that Al-Udeid base has been targeted. In June last year, Iran launched missiles at the base in response to US attacks on its nuclear facilities.

While the US says it is monitoring the situation around the clock, the Qatari government is taking measures to protect its critical infrastructure and the safety of its citizens.
