Kiev categorically denies any connection to the incident with explosives found near the TurkStream gas pipeline in Serbia. This was announced by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Heorhii Tykhyi, through "X", following the accusations from Budapest.

"Ukraine has no connection. It could be part of Moscow's massive interference in the Hungarian elections," he added.

We recall that the leaders of Serbia and Hungary announced on Sunday, April 5, that explosives were discovered near a gas pipeline in Serbia, which transports Russian gas to Hungary.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said that the relevant units have found a powerful explosive device. According to him, two large explosive packages equipped with detonators were discovered in the Kanjiža area in the north of the country, just a few hundred meters from the pipeline.

Meanwhile, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban convened the Defense Council to discuss the situation. He said that, according to available information, a planned act of sabotage is suspected, without providing further details or concrete evidence.

The pipeline passes through Bulgaria and Serbia, connecting Hungary to Russian gas transported under the Black Sea to Turkey.

Orban stated that Ukraine has been trying for years to cut off Europe's supply of Russian energy, but without directly accusing any party of the incident.
