The death of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny still remains a mystery, as the Russian authorities have not handed over the dead body to the family members and have not accepted an open international investigation.

The prison authorities initially said that the cause was a stroke that Navalny suffered after he felt ill while walking inside the prison.

Then, several channels in "Telegram" raised suspicions that the day before Navalny's death, in the penal colony where he was held in Siberia, there had been an increased presence of Russian agents.

But Russian human rights activist Vladimir Osechkin has recounted a more frightening version of how Navalny may have died.

He says that from his sources, he learned that Navalny was left for 2 and a half hours outside his cell, in temperatures up to -27°C. According to him, this is done to slow down and weaken the heartbeat. He was then killed with the classic "one punch" method used by the KGB, giving him a fatal blow to the heart.

He further says in his "Gulag" blouse that this is the reason why Navalny's body may disappear forever, as there are signs of blackening around the heart.

However, even this version of the event remains unconfirmed as long as the Russian authorities continue to keep the event under complete secrecy.
