A team of archaeologists have discovered "a mosaic containing a dedication to the church by the Byzantine emperor Justinian the First and his wife Theodora" in the Ulpjana Archaeological Park in Kosovo.
Since this discovery was announced, senior figures of politics and diplomacy accredited in Kosovo have landed in the archelogic park of Dardania.
The prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, also spoke about the discovery.
"In the ruins of the Roman city of Ulpiana, not far from Pristina, archaeologists have discovered an inscription by Emperor Justinian (527-565), rare evidence of his connection to Dardania, his country of origin— and common evidence of successful international collaborations," Kurti said.

While Minister Hajrullah Çeku wrote that this is "a discovery that shapes history, a powerful dedication by Emperor Justinian has been discovered at the Ulpiana Archaeological Site"
"The team of archaeologists composed by Christophe Goddard, Arben Hajdari and Milot Berisha during scientific research have discovered a monumental inscription of extraordinary historical significance by Emperor Justinian (527–565) of the city Justiniana Secunda, described as a dardan city, a city in the province of Dardania (created by his predecessor Diocletian in the early <>th century. IV after e.s.) "And his church," he wrote.
