During the first five months of the current year, a total of 41,595 vehicles were registered for the first time in Albania, where 83.3% of them are cars. If we analyze the data history since January of this year, it turns out that in May we also had the highest number of vehicles registered for the first time in our country of 10,670 units.
"Scan Intel" has analyzed the data from DPSHTRR to identify the tools according to the type of owner, where it results that 24.9% of the registered tools are owned by entities and 75.1% of them are owned by individuals. The same distribution has been encountered over the years, where the largest weight is occupied by assets registered in the name of individuals, but it turns out that the weight of assets registered in the ownership of entities has increased recently.
Also, the countries of origin of these tools were also analyzed, where it turns out that the 'main supplier' was Italy, leading the list with 7,549 tools exported to our country. Korea and Germany follow in the ranking with 7,319 and 7,297 vehicles in total. In addition, tools from countries such as Switzerland, the USA and China are also used in Albania.
In Albania, the number of vehicles has increased significantly recently, but how careful are our drivers at the wheel? According to statistics, it appears that 1,166 people were stripped of their license points during the period June 2022-May 2024. According to the new legislation that came into force a year ago, all those persons who are considered contingent serious violators of traffic rules, repeaters in behavior after the removal of 0 license points, in order to regain the right to drive, must register again at the driving school and re-submit the theory-practice test.
In this test, only 144 people, out of 1,166 re-registrations in the driving school due to the removal of license points, have regained their driving license during the period June 2022-May 2024. So out of 1,166 re-registrations in the driving school and only 12.3% of them return to the road as a driver, this time even more responsible.
