62 percent more visitors in April. Where did vacationers stay the most?

The month of April ended with an increase in the number of visitors. The data of the Institute of Statistics show that we have a total increase of 62% compared to the same parallel period of the previous year. But the two indicators, the number of resident and non-resident visitors have increased by 19.4% and 91.9%, respectively.

Thus, the total number of net stays has increased by 56.3%, where residents have also increased by 17.9%, while non-residents have increased by 80.3%.

But what is the geographical distribution of visitors?

In the same data it is reported that the number of non-resident visitors who have been accommodated in the Center region has increased by 2.1 times, in non-coastal areas this indicator has increased by 85.4%, while the number of non-resident visitors in "hotels and similar accommodations has increased by 85.6%.

Where was the highest number of overnight stays realized?

According to INSTAT, in the month of April, the highest number was recorded by the accommodation structures "Hotels and similar accommodations" with 91.9%, then the central region with 65.3%, and coastal areas with 59.3%.

While the net utilization rates of rooms and beds are the two thirds which measure the percentage of accommodation capacities. Therefore, during April, the occupancy rate of the rooms of "Hotels and similar accommodations" is 22.1%, against 13.5% that was in April 2023. The occupancy rate of the beds of "Hotels and similar accommodations" is 24 .5%.
