359 million euros for priority projects in coastal and mountain tourism. Who

The tourism sector is attracting increased interest from year to year, attracting many visitors from all over the world, who prefer not only the sea, but also mountain areas, or cultural tourism.

For this reason, the government is giving more importance to investments in this sector, to ensure its sustainable growth. In the list of unique projects of national importance, there are 7 projects, which are dedicated to the tourism sector and have a wide scope.

The total value of the projects expected to be implemented in the tourism sector amounts to 359 million euros.

Specifically, the projects are related to support for regional development in areas with economic potential in Albania with a value of 60 million euros. Attention has also been given to the coast with the "Blue Sea" project for a clean environment and regenerative capacity worth 75.5 million euros.

The integrated regional tourism and urban improvement study for the gateway to the Alps project has a value of 88 million euros and aims to develop mountain areas.

The improvement of tourism and related business infrastructure in the cross-border area in the Albanian Alps/Prokletije Mountains is another project worth 30 million euros dedicated to mountain areas.

It is also planned to implement the project for effective cross-border measures for competition, growth and business development worth 54 million euros

The development of local entrepreneurship and cross-border tourism along Lake Shkodra through improvements in business infrastructure has a value of 25 million euros.

On the other hand, attention has been paid to the southeast through the project of national importance for the improvement of tourism and business infrastructure in the cross-border area of ​​Korçë, worth 26.5 million euros.
