The last days of corruption

In a surprising move that requires a vivid imagination and a strong stomach, the government announced the creation of an Anticorruption Directorate.

As if the Anticorruption Directorate in the Ministry of Justice was not enough, with 44 anticorruption coordinators roaming around like free spirits, the country also has an Anticorruption Minister. This is about the government.

Despite the boycott of the opposition, Albania also has a parliamentary anti-corruption commission. When it comes to fighting corruption, a single commission is not enough. It takes some to face this permanent demon.

And these commissions have nothing to do with the saying: "if you want not to deal with a problem, set up a commission for that problem." Not quite the opposite because we have a comprehensive strategy.

It is expected that the fight against corruption will escalate even further with... a National Anticorruption Conference! Imagine a hall full of officials giving impassioned speeches about integrity and transparency.

Not even the local government will be left behind. A main street in each city will be named "Anticorruption". Imagine hundreds of thousands of drivers and pedestrians see the name of the road and become aware of the evil and will punish those who are corrupt with their votes.

But a change will also be made to the traffic lights. When the red color appears, it will read "Stop corruption". The green color will have the table: Albania in the EU.

The final phase of the anti-corruption strategy will be the anti-corruption medals. The Prime Minister will honor local and foreign fighters with the highest anti-corruption medal of the first class.

But the surprise of surprises was reserved for the grand finale: the Anticorruption Festival! In addition to songs on the theme of corruption, there will also be a beauty contest where contestants show their commitment to transparency. The big prize? A one-year internship in the new Anti-Corruption Directorate.
