Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke at the Political Community Summit in Tirana, saying that he hosted Putin in Ankara with Erdogan to discuss the end of the war, but according to him, he sent only a low-level delegation that could not make decisions in Russia.
"We will coordinate to fight all threats that come from outside. We will be stronger if we stay together. I suggest that we coordinate our work on issues as well."
Thank you Albania for welcoming us so warmly. You are a country that believes in Europe. I appreciate the fact that we understand the same situation that the war must end as quickly and fairly as possible. You know that this week we had the opportunity, if possible, to take steps to end the war, if Putin had not been afraid to come to Turkey. I was in Ankara and was received by Erdogan.
"I was ready for a direct meeting with Putin either in Ankara or in Istanbul. Not just for a meeting, but to resolve all important issues. He did not agree to anything. It was clear that the Russian delegation that came to Istanbul was of a very low level and none of those who came could make decisions in Russia," Zelensky said.
