Albert Zaja, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison for the charge of "premeditated murder" committed in cooperation with the businessman Shkëlzen Kastrati, this event happened in the city of Fier in January 2021.

The decision was taken by the Fier court, which found that Albert Zaja is one of the protagonists of Shkëlzen Kastrati's murder. Zaja had requested a summary trial, not subjecting you to the court process with the usual procedure.

"Ora News" learns that before the court declared him guilty and sentenced him to 21 years of imprisonment, the prosecutor of the case, Dorian Tafili, had asked the court in his claim, a sentence of 25 years of imprisonment for the arrested Zaja.

But due to the abbreviated trial, Zaja benefited from a reduced sentence of only 4 years in prison. In this process, Zaja was defended by lawyer Elton Hyseni, who asked the court for a lenient sentence for the defendant.

During the entire phase of the investigation, Zaja refused to cooperate with justice, and at the same time claimed that he did not participate in the murder.

Meanwhile, for his 3 associates wanted by the prosecutor's office of Fier as participants in this crime, Elson Xhe?uka, Elmir Tufa and Silvia alias Roland Cara, the court has decided to return the accusation file to complete the investigative actions.

For the above three persons, the court has assigned about 80 investigative procedural tasks for the prosecution, in order to specify the role of each of them.

According to sources near the Fier police, the wanted person, Elson Xhe?uka, is suspected to be the man who shot Shkëlzen Kastrati.

Xhe?uka, according to the police, turns out to be the brother of Hektor Xhe?uka, who was arrested in 2018 and then released from prison in April 2019, as a suspect in the murder of citizen Emiljano Boci.

The four people had separate tasks in this assassination carried out in January 2021, where two of them approached the target Shkëlzen Kastrati with a "Range-Rover" type car, shooting one of them.

While two others stayed at the exit of Fier in another car, waiting for the two comrades who shot Kastrati to come quickly. According to the expert report, Kastrati was shot from close range, causing his immediate death.

One of the participants in this murder, Elmir Tufa, continues to be wanted for another criminal event, that of the robbery on September 25, 2018, in Vlora, for which Tufa was sentenced to 16 years in prison for the charge of "Robbery with weapon".

But now apart from this sentence, Tufa risks receiving a second sentence in absentia for the murder of Shkëlzen Kastrati. The search for the capture of Tufa and two other persons, Xhe?uka and Cara, has been carried out for several months by the Vlorë and Fier police station, but surprisingly, they have not brought any results./OraNews
