A decomposed body is found in the sea, suspected to be the Albanian Shkëlqim Hysi. Family agony for the father of two who went to work in Kos and disappeared.

The information so far believes that the body that was found in the sea waters on the island of Syros belongs to the 52-year-old Albanian Shkëlqim Hysi, who disappeared on April 9, 2023.

Marine patrol authorities have found a corpse in advanced decomposition floating in the sea area of ??the port of Syros at noon yesterday (Monday, May 8). A patrol boat of the Coast Guard went to the scene, which with the help of a private diver located and retrieved the dead body.

The discovery of a body in the marine area of ??the island has caused concern in the family. The crew of the boat that saw the macabre find, notified the authorities, but it was not possible to find and extract it.

Shkelqim Hysi, 53 years old, arrived on the island in the early hours of a month, on Sunday, April 9, and after a strange phone call, on the same day, he took the ferry back to Pira, but for unknown reasons and landed in Siros, leaving his suitcase on the ferry.

Authorities are now investigating the possibility that the corpse belongs to the missing 53-year-old man, who disappeared in the early hours of Sunday, April 9, from Kos, where he had gone to work. An autopsy is now expected to be done to see if the body belongs to an Albanian.
