Revolt and revenge! It is these two elements that psychologist Arjana Muçaj sees as possible causes for the self-sacrifice of Alma Arraz in Shkodër, together with her little ones.

In a link to Klan News, she says that if the extreme action of the young mother is fully proven, then she may have suffered from mental health issues.

"I see it as a spiritual suffering, as a hopeless individual who sees no light at the end of the tunnel and the only solution is the extreme one, the loss of life. It is known in some theories, the mother to take revenge against the husband, does not want the children to experience the same drama. A man who takes such an action means that he has mental health problems, due to deep depression. In most cases, these individuals undertake such an action silently, without publicizing the decision. I think this must have been the moment that made the mother make this decision."

Besides the suspicions of psychological or physical violence by her husband Erdgys Arrazi, the latter's extramarital affair may have been the 'final blow' for Alma.

"Definitely, it comes as a result of continuous psychological violence, where the individual feels hopeless, undeserving. When the feeling of jealousy takes hold, it is seen as a revenge against the other party, in this particular case if it is true an adultery, this may have put a lid on it. Jealousy may have been the key that allowed the victim to commit suicide."

"If he was in an environment where violence was present all the time... Psychological violence is something that we cannot distinguish, the child has been abused twice as much. The way the child sees the situation, how he wants to stay with one or the other party, begins to understand who is the abusing party and increases the feeling of hatred towards one party ", concluded Muçaj.
