The five democratic members of the Mandates Council wrote to the Speaker of the Assembly requesting a meeting of the Immunity Council today to review SPAK's request for the arrest of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
This is the second request addressed to the Speaker of the Assembly. According to them, 1 week is sufficient for members to familiarize themselves with the evidence in the over 10,000-page file made available by SPAK, which is seeking Balluk's arrest.
The Socialists have stated that the review of the Special Prosecution's request will not take place before the Constitutional Court rules on the issue of the suspension of the government member.
