"Today I have you on my mind like every day...", Anuela Ristani wishes

Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj celebrates his 46th birthday today. But unlike other years, this year he finds himself behind bars. It was the acting mayor, Anuela Ristani, who chose to send him a special greeting.

On social media, Ristani published a photo from ten years ago, when Veliaj celebrated his 36th birthday at the Tirana Municipality premises with his staff.

Ristani recalled his most typical expressions and special moments of the surprise party organized by the staff.

"This photo from your first birthday at BT, for your 36th anniversary, makes me especially happy today. I had collected all your most typical expressions and printed them on T-shirts for everyone. My favorite was "Stand by the door until you finish your work", your way of making us as persistent and absolutely unyielding as you. This "surprise" party was very nice when we read each other and our faces lit up with hope. The media writes "the mayor's kids" give him a special gift! That's when I realized that my job was the job of "kids" and that the media knows nothing, nothing at all! Two unchangeable truths!
