The operation to dismantle the Farruku clan is finalized. The operation, for which 250 police officers were committed, has reached its peak with the dismantling of a criminal organization dedicated to drug trafficking worldwide after 21 controls that have led to the arrest of 17 people in the provinces of Cádiz, Málaga, Madrid, Barcelona and Toledo.
The organization known internationally as the " Clan of Farruk " was led by a dangerous group of Albanians, mainly based in Spain, from where they had the capacity to operate anywhere in the world.
During the investigation, the organization was attributed to numerous drug seizures in different countries of Europe, in total about 10,000 kilograms of cocaine and 10,000 kilograms of hashish. So far, 25 vehicles and 22 real estates with an approximate value of over 4,200,000 euros have been seized.
The operation, also supported by Europol, began in September 2021 when agents discovered a group of people preparing to smuggle a large amount of cocaine hidden in a container through the Port of Algeciras. This fact was confirmed in January 2022, when 2 tons of cocaine were found hidden in a container from Guayaquil (Ecuador).
Since that moment, investigators have carried out painstaking work to identify and locate the members of the organization, as well as to determine their position in the hierarchical structure, including their leaders. In this process, it has been revealed that the organization is also responsible for other attempts to introduce cocaine into European markets.
In this way, it has become possible to connect with the organization numerous actions that reflect the great capacity it had to introduce large quantities of cocaine through the main European ports in the last two years in Italy, Belgium, Greece, Portugal, the Netherlands or Spain.
Likewise, during the operation, photographs were obtained in which Kreshnik Budilla wore Civil Guard uniforms when traveling by vehicle within Spanish territory, thus avoiding his identification and detention. However, the agents continue the investigations, already doing the economic and property analysis of the main members of the Organization, as well as their companies, to determine the commission of other crimes, including money laundering.
