The Tirana police have reacted again to the incident that happened five days ago in a market on "Rrugën e Barricadave", where it was reported that a 2-year-old girl was tried to be kidnapped by a woman.

The images of the unusual event that made the rounds of the network showed the lady taking the minor girl in her arms, which she returned to the market within a few minutes.

Regarding the incident, the police clarifies that they made it possible to accompany the 57-year-old woman who appears in the video, who is suspected of suffering from mental health problems.

"Following the notification given on 15.09.2024, which refers to an event that took place on Rugë e Barricadave, where inside a market a citizen took a 2-year-old minor in her arms, left the market and after it has returned again, we inform you that: Police Station Services No. 3 have identified and escorted to the Police premises the citizen RB, 57 years old, resident in Tirana, who is suspected of suffering from mental health problems", the police announced.

For the 57-year-old, the capital's prosecutor's office has started the proceedings in a free state, accusing her of the criminal offense of "Illegal Deprivation of Liberty", which remains pending.
