After more than 4 hours of court session, the Appeal has postponed the decision for the democratic deputy, Ervin Salianji, in relation to the "Babale" case.

The final decision for Salianj will be given on September 26, at 13:00.

During the Appeal session, MP Salianji said that his denunciations were proven.

"Geron Xhafa was convicted in Italy for drugs and was free in Albania and had a brother who was the minister of the interior. We took out the document and denounced it, but there was no reaction. After he walked free for 8 years after the denunciation, he turned himself in to Rome to serve his sentence. They deliberately took him to Italy, Agron or Geron Xhafajn, so that his original voice would not be taken. His voice was delivered with a USB by the lawyer", said the democratic deputy.

Furthermore, Salianji stated that the prosecutors and judges of the case were used:

"All the prosecutors and judges involved have all been dismissed. They used them, took them and threw them away. The judges who dealt with the case have both been dismissed."

During his speech in court, the democratic deputy stated that he has no acquaintance with Fredi Alizoti and Albert Veliu (Babalja).

"The cell phones for all three are ringing. How is it possible that the cells pulsate at Geron Xhafa's bar? Or did we manipulate this too? They accuse me of having given money, 200 thousand Euros. The first SMS was from Olldashi, it appears from the interception records, that it is clear that the investigation was carried out by the journalist Olldashi".

Salianji has emphasized that he will make the denunciation again as his duty is to protect the public interest.

According to Salianj, this process is organized for the benefit of the Socialist Party.

"I am bringing facts about how this is a process set up for the interests of the party in power. Geron Xhafa refutes his own voice in writing, if it was not him he came out in voice and image. A person does not come out to refute himself, but comes out in writing. In other words, this one refutes his own voice in writing, and I should also be punished", said Salianji.

Lawyers Ledio Braho and Redi Ramaj demand the annulment of the decision of the First Instance against Salianji and his declaration of innocence.

Meanwhile, the Prosecutor of Appeal, Arben Qose, has assessed the decision of the First Instance as correct as he has added that the reasons raised in Salianji's appeal are not based on the criminal procedural law.

"We consider the decision of the Court of First Instance to be correct. We do not identify any procedural violations during the trial. Regarding the complaint of Olldash and Salianj, I note that the arguments are the same. Without wanting to enter into the dynamics of the criminal fact, I estimate that the reasons raised in the appeal by the two defendants are not reasons that are based on the criminal procedural law", said the Prosecutor of Appeal, Arben Qose.

At the end of his speech in the courtroom, prosecutor Qose requests that the decision of the First Instance be left in force.

"In our assessment, it is proven beyond any reasonable doubt that they have committed the criminal offense for which they are accused. The decision of the First Instance is correct. In the entirety of the evaluation of evidence, telephone records, communications, not only recognition is proven, but also the day when they recorded the audio-interception. In conclusion, I believe that the court's decision is fair and I ask that it be left in force", concluded the Prosecutor of Appeal.

Salianji was found guilty by the First Degree with one year in prison for making a false report in relation to the "Babale" case. In Appeal, the case was sent by the journalist Jetmir Olldashi, who in the First Degree was sentenced to 6 months in prison converted to 100 hours of community service.
