The Durrës Prosecution Office has initiated criminal proceedings no. 595/2026 for the criminal offenses of "Fraud", "Hiding income", "Tax evasion" and "Laundering of proceeds of crime" against Luljeta Berisha, sister of the former leader of the Durrës Gang, Lulzim Berisha.

It is learned that the investigation began after a conflict related to the use of a market within the city, where one of the owners filed a complaint claiming that his property was being taken unfairly.

In parallel, the other party has also filed a complaint with SPAK.

The case is related to a conflict over ownership and management of the market, for which the prosecution has initiated verifications to clarify the circumstances and evaluate the claims of the parties involved.

Lulzim Berisha is a well-known name in Albanian justice, he is known as the former leader of the Durrës Gang.

He was previously released on bail, but was arrested again after being declared wanted by SPAK and is currently facing justice on charges of murdering Klodian Saliu.
