The Criminal Court of Kosovo is expected to review today Ajola Xoxa's request for a change in the "compulsory appearance" security measure.

The wife of the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has requested a relaxation of the measure, arguing that her health condition, due to pregnancy, requires more flexible treatment, as well as the opportunity to move abroad.

We recall that in February 2025, security measures "obligation to appear" and "ban on leaving the country" were imposed on Xoxa.

The Mayor of Tirana has been under "prison arrest" since February 10, 2025, while SPAK has filed 13 charges against him, including passive corruption, money laundering, failure to declare assets, and abuse of office.
