The Port of Vlora Captaincy has announced that a significant deterioration in the weather is expected during November 16-19, appealing for small vessels and fishing vessels not to venture out to sea.
The announcement is based on the forecast of hydrometeorological conditions, which predict strong winds from the south-southeast, with a force of up to 6-7 force and a speed of 15-20 m/s, as well as waves that could reach a height of 1.5-2.5 meters.
For this reason, the port authority has prohibited the issuance of departure permits to small craft and fishing vessels intending to operate in or outside the Bay of Vlora, starting from 23:00 on November 16th until 08:00 on November 19th.
The Captaincy has asked marine vehicle drivers to take maximum safety measures, considering the risks associated with bad weather.
Meanwhile, international transport ships will continue normal operations according to their respective destinations.
