Authorities are seeking answers to the circumstances in which the 12-year-old from Kato Patisia ended his life on Friday evening.

As it became known, the child was found hanging in his room by the parents, who in a state of shock called the ambulance. However it was too late.

The news spread sadly in the Pagrati area as well, as the 12-year-old was an athlete and very much loved. Even last weekend he would take part in the Panhellenic Games in Loutraki which took place in a mourning atmosphere due to the tragic event.

One of the scenarios considered by the Police is that the child has participated in the challenge of the online game "Blackout", a deadly game of the TikTok platform.

Police who entered the room found the cell phone next to the 12-year-old.

It is the mobile phone that will give answers to the causes of the tragedy, as the police will see if he had a conversation explaining the reasons for the suicide or there was something else that bothered him.


What is the challenge of Blackout?

The "blackout" or breakout challenge encourages participants to drown themselves, with string or cable, until they temporarily lose consciousness, film a video, and then upload it to Tik Tok.

The dangers of gambling are serious as they can cause brain damage and even be fatal.
