The Lezha and Kurbin police have drafted a special plan of measures to guarantee order and security during the pilgrimage to the Church of St. Ndout, which began today, March 17, and takes place every Tuesday for 13 consecutive weeks.
According to the announcement, the main objectives of the plan are to prevent criminal incidents, manage the flow of citizens, avoid road accidents, and manage traffic on the route to the church.
In implementation of the measures, Traffic Police services have been deployed along the "Autostrada-Laç" axis, up to the church area, in order to direct the movement of vehicles and avoid traffic jams.
Additionally, police presence has been increased at major intersections in the Patoku area, near the Laçi Courthouse and near the city cemetery. Services have also been deployed at the entrances and exits of parking lots around the church, as well as on the mountainous segment of the road, where the risk of heavy traffic is higher.
Public Order, Traffic Police, and Criminal Police patrols have been deployed on the ground to ensure the safety of believers and prevent any possible incidents.
The Blues of Lezha call on citizens and drivers to respect the instructions of the blue uniforms, so that the pilgrimage can take place peacefully and without problems.
