
Two State Police employees, outside of duty hours, have found and returned a bag containing 1,000 euros, personal documents and a mobile phone, being praised for their action by Police Director Ilir Proda.
We are talking about employees Klejdin Lleshaj, a Lezha Traffic Officer, and Durim Xhakaj, a Shkodra Traffic Officer, who yesterday evening, at around 10:30 PM, on Rinas Street, while returning with their families from Tirana to Lezha and Shkodra, found a lost bag on the road.
Inside were identification documents, 1,000 euros and a mobile phone, belonging to a 34-year-old man from Kavaja, who had returned from Italy. Through the passport and social media, the police managed to identify and contact the owner, handing over the lost items.
For this action, the Director General of the State Police, Ilir Proda, sent them a message of gratitude, appreciating the integrity, humanity and responsibility shown by them, even though they were off duty. He emphasized that this action strengthens citizens' trust in the State Police and honors its uniform.
