A few months after being released, Durim Bami is arrested again in Dubai

Durim Bami, one of the most well-known protagonists of the underworld in Albania, was arrested for the second time in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Bami's arrest was carried out on October 21 and this information is confirmed by official sources at the State Police for Anila Hoxha. Journalist Hoxha reports that Durim Bami has been detained by the Dubai police and has been under arrest for 5 days. It is not known precisely what are the circumstances that have postponed his arrest for the second time by the police of the Emirates, while earlier his behavior in Albania failed.

The information about the reason for Bam's arrest in Dubai is being kept very discreet by the State Police and the SPAK special prosecution.

The first time, he was arrested on account of SPAK in June 2024, after special prosecutors had issued an arrest warrant in May as being involved in the cultivation of drug plots in the Fushë-Kruja area, providing the conditions to kill the former deputy of the SP in Lezhë, Arben Ndoka, as well as providing the conditions to kill Ervis Martinaj's two friends, Erigers Mihasin and Hektor alias Tori Xhečuka.

But for this arrest, Durim Bami could be released by the Dubai court despite the fact that former officials of the Ministry of Interior promised to bring him to justice.

It is not yet known for sure whether a second "prison arrest" security measure was issued against Durim Bami by SPAK, which forced the Dubai police to move again to arrest Durim Bami for the second time.

Bami may now be in the procedures of a possible extradition or immediate repatriation, as happened in the case of Plaurent Dervishaj and Julian Meçaj, two people from the Durrës group accused of the assassination of Landi Muharrem and the prosecutor, Arjan Ndoja.
