The Supreme Court has overturned the decision of the Court of Appeals for Kreshnik Budlla.

The panel of judges composed of Ilir Panda, Sokol Binaj and Sandër Simoni has upheld the decision of the Durrës court that imposed the security measure "house arrest" for extradition purposes to Italy.

Meanwhile, Budlla previously won the battle with the GJKKO after managing to prove that the "SKY ECC" application code was not used by him but by his brother.

According to the GJKKO, the measure was lifted after it emerged that during the interceptions in the "SKY ECC" application, there was a mix-up with the user's personal identification code, and the communications allegedly made by Kreshnik Budlla (Farruku) were made by another citizen with the initials RF.

He is wanted by Italian justice as a member of the "Farruku" criminal group accused of transporting large quantities of cocaine from Latin America. However, Budlla has claimed innocence and said he has surrendered to the authorities to face justice and clarify his circumstances.
