From today, fewer urban people in Tirana, operators reduce bus fleet by 30%

Starting today, September 1st, public transport in Tirana will start operating with a reduced number of buses.

Urban operators have put into circulation about 20-30% fewer vehicles, a measure that affects the frequency of service on the capital's urban lines.

The reduction comes at a time when operators have raised concerns about the financial situation and operating costs of the service. For passengers, the measure is expected to bring longer bus service intervals on various routes.

The decision to reduce funds was previously announced by the operators through requests addressed to the responsible institutions.

As of today, urban service in the capital continues to be offered with reduced fleet capacity.
