Today, the first hearing against the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, will be held at the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC).

The hearing comes after the case was split, following the granting of summary judgment for some of the other defendants in the case.

Meanwhile, his lawyer, Plarent Ndreca, has appeared at the GJKKO premises, awaiting the development of the process.

The hearing is expected to continue with the presentation of the procedural positions of the parties. Meanwhile, Erida Skendaj from the Albanian Helsinki Committee is present at the hearing today.
